My Favourite Makeup Brushes

Using makeup brushes to apply your makeup can make a big different to the outcome. I was cleaning my brushes the other day and thought about the ones I would panic without. I usually use these daily when I'm applying my makeup.

The Real Techniques Contour Brush is the perfect size for all round bronzing. I use it to define my jawline, hairline, the sides of my nose, my cupids bow and hollows of my cheeks with bronzer. It is also great to apply concealer with, however I don't use this brush for that although I know it is quite popular to do so.

The Real Techniques Multi Task Brush. I use this brush for powder, however it is great at applying blush and bronzer too - hence the name 'multi task brush'. It picks up the right amount of powder and applys it onto the skin evenly. I sometimes put this in my makeup bag but that's a job for another brush which I'll let you in on later!

The Real Techniques Domed Shadow Brush, aka my lifesaver. I honestly don't know where I would be without this brush, I love it so much I have 2 of the same kind. I use this brush for concealer as it is perfect for blending the product around the nose and is the ideal size for covering up any imperfections. However, it does collect a lot concealer so I have to wash it quite frequently!

XCSource Eye Shadow Brush. I use this brush daily when applying my eyeshadow base. The bristles are so soft and I feel like not enough people know about this brand of brushes. I got it in a set of 11.

XCSource Angled Shadow Brush. This is ideal for applying eyeshadow to the crease of my eye. It picks up a lot of product and has super soft bristles - again, I highly recommend you to check out the brand!

The XCSource Big Powder Brush is the brush I carry around in my makeup bag. It has a fairly small handle and is great quality. I have washed it many times and have never seen a bristle fall. I suppose it could be used for bronzer and blush too which will come in handy when I'm out and about and don't have the correct brushes in hand.

What are your daily makeup brushes? Do you have a favourite?

Keep smiling :)
Love Abbey xx
