The Beauty Blogger TAG

Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?
I love makeup and ever since a young age I've wanted to do something with it. Being 12 at the time and not having a hobby like the other girls at school who went to a dance club every night after school I would always find myself sat in my room reading different posts and watching YouTube till late at night. I then decided it was time to create a blog I could call my own and be proud of - and thats what I did. I have now been blogging for over a year and its been a whirl wind, I love it!

Whose blog did you fall in love with first?
I read so many its hard to remember but I do recall going onto Nessa's  blog quite a lot to see if she had posted that day. I always enjoy reading her posts, go check her out ♥

What was the first blogosphere hyped about product that you bought? Was it worth the hype?
Hmm? I think it was Rimmel Londons Wake Me Up foundation. I still like it to this day but I don't love it. For a foundation it has far too much shimmer in but nevertheless it gives great coverage and isn't cakey. I still use it from time to time but I jut have to be careful incase the sky is clear and the sun is bright making me look like Edward Cullen.

What are you five favourite things about blogging and being a Beauty Blogger?
- Other bloggers! I have made great friends since starting up my blog and its great to have a chat with them every once and awhile. Its also great to have someone that has something in common with you and you can just chat about it for hours with them. This is something I would've lacked if I didn't create Absie.
- Writing posts. I obviously love writing posts for you guys, I love planning them and seeing my English skills improve as I carry on - if you look at my first posts you will cringe. I know one day I might look back and laugh at the things I wrote but hey, lets live in the moment.
- Photography! I love taking photos, its a shame my school doesn't teach photography classes because I know I would be the first one to sign up. Whether it is scenery, day to day life or general review photos, I love taking them.
- The comments. I love it when you guys leave comments on my posts, it makes me smile so much to know someone is actually enjoying what I write. It is always so encouraging, thank you!
-Bloggers. I love reading other different blogs, whether it is beauty, fashion or lifestyle related I always find myself sat reading them.

What have you learnt from being a Beauty Blogger?
Since being a beauty blogger I have learnt that its never to early to do what you love. When I started my blog I was 12 and I'm pretty sure a few people thought I was quite young yet no one was holding me back. I just went for it. I have also learnt how to deal with companies wanting to collaborate which has definitely made me feel quite mature. I said feel, not act! haha.

Have you changed anything since becoming a Beauty Blogger?
I have definitely become more confident in myself and maybe became a little more mature? Joking. No, but really, since starting up this blog my confidence has had a boost and I've realised I can in fact work computers! Hooray!

What advice would you give to a beauty blogger just starting out?
Be yourself. This was something I didn't do when I first started my blog, I used to always compare myself to other bloggers and think 'their blog is better than mine' or 'they have more views, I will write about that too'. The Mum always told me to do what I like to do and if people don't like that, that's their problem - and you too should take on that advice too. Blogging is all about letting your creativity take over, its just you, a computer and your own little bit of the internet where you write about anything and everything! Also, there is no need to worry about the follower number. Some people may be subscribed to you through email or even have your blog in their bookmarks on the computer. Whatever the case is, just remember to have fun with it!

What are your top 5 makeup brands?
I'm a drugstore type of girl. I don't go out and buy high end makeup, even though it would be nice but it is just too expensive. My top five makeup brands are;
Rimmel - they have such good makeup for such great quality. I especially like their foundations.
MUA - most of you already know I am in love with the MUA lip crayons, I couldn't leave this brand out!
Soap & Glory - the Supercat Eyeliner pen was amazing, such a great buy. It is a great drugstore brand.
Revlon - I love Revlon for many reasons. Whether it is their lipsticks, the amazing prices.. or their lipsticks. I just love lipstick all round - no secret there.
Bourjois - it was quite a struggle to decide this one but I must say, Bourjois' bronzers and eyeshadows are beautiful.

Recommend your top 5 beauty products..
(all linked to reviews!)
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - this product is a goddess one of my must haves!
No 7 Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara - this mascara is my all time favourite, it curls your lashes and makes them so long its unbelievable.
MUA Power Pout in Rendezvous - this is probably my favourite colour from the MUA Power Pout range. A light pigmented pink.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - I agree with what everyone says, this concealer is amazing. It doesn't feel cakey, has long lasting wear, plus its cheap!
Sally Hansen Wine Not Nail Polish - this is still my favourite nail polish. Its a perfect Autumn/ Winter colour.

I hoped you enjoyed reading this tag. I tag all of you so let me know if you do this!

Keep smiling :)
